Growing Long Hair and Getting Healthy: 30 Days Later with Camille Rose Naturals Super Foods Vitamins
One month later, so much has happened!
Can you believe an entire month has passed since I began taking the Camille Rose Naturals SuperFoods Vitamin?

I'm so excited about my experience with this Vitamin, that I could not wait to share my experience. Jus to recap, here's what I'm working toward during this 90 Day #BestSelf Challenge:

The 90 Day Super Foods #BestSelf Challenge
You guys KNOW I wouldn't just talk about a vitamin and not be about it! Starting today, January 15th, 2018 I'm taking the Camille Rose Naturals #BestSelf Challenge with the new Super Foods vitamin.

For 3 months (90 days), I committed to being my #BestSelf by:
  • Taking the Camille Rose Naturals Super Food vitamin daily
  • Eating healthier (chilling on the carbs, eating more green veggies)
  • Drinking more water
  • Working out (and trying new things)
  • Taking the BEST care of my hair from roots to ends
So let's check in!

Daily Vitamin Intake
I did an amazing job staying on point taking the Super Foods Vitamin for the first 30 days....except for that first week and two days . As it turns out, I didn't read the label correctly. The serving size is ONE Vitamin, twice daily. So yeah, 2 vitamins per day. I fudged that up a little bit. My bad. 😂 But once I figured that out, we were on and poppin'. I'm proud to say I never missed a day taking my Super Food Vitamins - and its paying off big time.

I really do feel like SuperFoods is a healthy lifestyle vitamin. SO much more than hair growth!
For the longest time, I've felt like my hair has stalled out. I know tracking natural hair growth is hard to do visually, because our hair curls into itself and shrinkage is real. But on my most recent wash days, I've been looking in the mirror like ayeeee...some growth is happening! My hair also looks and feels fuller and healthier. I really feel like the Camille Rose Naturals Super Food vitamin has me back in business!

Eating Healthier, Drinking Water + Working Out
Definitely, a work in progress. If you've keeping up with me on Instagram, then you'll know that I've breathed new life into my secondary page, @30daysofdope. That's because I want to hold myself accountable! I had some slip-ups, lazy moments, and "girl, you know better" days, but I'm happy to report that month 2 is super on track. I signed back up with Avatar Nutrition, have begun diligently tracking my macros, and even started incorporating smoothies into my mornings.

I'm doing better y'all.

By far, the easiest thing for me to do is drink water. I'll just come right out and say it - I don't understand people that don't like "the taste" of water. To me, it's like saying that you don't like breathing. Water is necessary for our bodies, our health, and of course, our hair. In addition to drinking from my Hydro Flask at work, I drink water at the gym, and at home. If I don't want plain water, I opt for one of the fifty-seven flavors of bubbly water I keep stocked in my fridge.

If you're looking to make the switch from soda and sugary drinks, I highly recommend Trader Joe's Sparkling Water in pretty much every flavor (Winter Sangria and Cranberry Clementine are my favorites), and New York Seltzer Sparkling Water in Watermelon and Lime. LaCroix has some good ones too (like Mango), as does Arrowhead. Really, you can't go wrong. Just buy whatever is on sale and don't expect it to taste sweet. 😂

Working out has been interesting, to say the least. From mid January to mid-ish February, I struggled to find my pace. I started a new job, and it pretty much turned my day-to-day upside down. Not to mention, the "new year new me" rush started at our gym, which meant that finding somewhere to park was impossible - even after 8pm. Samuel resolved to start working out at 4am, and I halfheartedly joined him, exhausted from leading the double life of learning a new job full time (not working from home) and being a blogger.

It wasn't until mid to late February that I finally found my groove. Waking up at 3:40am will never feel normal, but at this point, it's slightly, almost tolerable. Especially now that I'm in bed by or before 9pm. Yep, granny status. I need at least 6 hours to be a functional human.

I'll have more updates on the workout tip in my month 2 #BestSelf update. Now let's get into more 411 about these vitamins!

Curls looking bountiful and blessed! Yes!
Pros of Camille Rose Naturals Super Foods Vitamin
  • AMAZING ingredients. Click here for my breakdown on that.
  • Easy to take. They're not super huge, more like standard vitamin size.
  • They don't keep me up at night, if I happen to take them before bed.
  • Reasonable dosage (2 vitamins) daily.
  • No weird aftertaste or vitamin burps
  • Doesn't cause upset stomach or nausea
  • No skin breakouts or reactions
Cons of Camille Rose Naturals Super Foods Vitamins
  • It looks, smells, and tastes like a vitamin. This one isn't a con for me, because I'm basically a vitamin junkie and I've smelled and tasted much, much, much worse. But if you're one of those people who has to pinch their nose, or never learned how to swallow a pill, then you might want to skip out on this one. But if you're serious about getting good stuff inside of your body, then Super Foods is for you, for sure.
Benefits I've Experienced So Far
