Video: The Secret to Long Lasting and Defined Wash & Go's

Wash and go's have been a staple style for me, since the last leg of my transition. I often get questions about what products I use, how I do my wash and go's, and how I get them to last for over 5 days. Well, this video answers a few of those questions!

I will definitely be doing a full tutorial soon, from the rooter to the tooter! This is just a little snippet of how much product I use (hint: A LOT) to create long-lasting definition. I also revisited an oldie but goodie in this video -- Aussie Moist. Click here for my OG review. By the way, this is the same method I used as a transitioner to get my wash and go's to last!

Here are ALL the products that I used:
  • Aussie Moist Conditioner, $6/29oz @ Target -- I used Aussie Moist to cowash, and as a leave-in.
  • tgin Triple Moisture Replenishing Conditioner, $15/12oz @ www.tginatural.com -- I applied this generously to each section after cowashing, and left it on for about 10 minutes, then rinsed out.
  • tgin Twist & Define Cream, $15/12oz @ www.tginatural.com -- ON SALE NOW FOR $9.99! I applied this product generously throughout each section of my hair for hold, definition, and shine.
  • Rapunzel The Future of Hair's Hair Silk, $15/4oz @ www.rapunzelthefutureofhair.com -- I applied this to my ends once my hair finished drying, to hydrate and seal the end because they can be especially dry.
FYI: If you choose to use my methods and end up with crunchy hair, don't despair! To get rid of the crunch, simply take some of your favorite oil, butter, or moisturizer and scrunch it through your hair. Or, give it a day or 2 to go away on its own. Easy peasy!
