A Little Random Update...

Oyin Handmade Boing Selfie Shoot :)

Hey peeps!

I just wanted to write a little random blog post about what I've been up to lately. I spend a lot of time writing articles and reviews, but I want to get better about being more personal as well...just in case my Instagram flicks aren't enough for you (957 photos and counting...lol). So here's a random list of happenings:

1. I'm knee deep in products right now.

And don't even let that sound like a bad thing!!! I've decided to ditch the "recovering" from my product junkie-ness, and just it be a part of who I am. I love products. I love researching ingredients, trying things out, and writing HONEST reviews. Right now, I'm swarming in goodies from Ynobe Shop, Camille Rose Naturals, Qhemet Biologics, Kurlee Belle, Obia Natural Hair, Alikay Naturals, and Hydratherma Naturals...with even more on the way. My bedroom looks like I'm running a small shop, but I really do intend to use everything.

2. I recently discovered how AWESOME Universal Studios Hollywood is. And celebrated 3 years of awesomeness with the BF.
Plane wreckage. Bumblebee & Megatron. Random fires. Boo-lovin. Shark attacks. Big kickin' it in Springfield. Dinosaur attacks, complete with drool on the glasses. Yep, that about sums up my weekend. #UniversalStudios #weekendrecap #wegotannualpassestho @samwithnoinstagram
Thank you, Mr. Williams for showing me that Disneyland isn't the only good theme park for my non-rollercoaster riding self in SoCal. We hung out at Universal for our anniversary weekend and had a BLAST! Not to mention the amaze-balls promo we took advantage of -- buy a day and get a year free. Planning to go back soon. Real soon. Just minus the horror/haunted house thingie. Scared the crap out of me.

3. I'm writing for BGLH AND NaturallyCurly.com!
Super excited to be a part of the @naturallycurly writing team!!! God is so good!!! And even if I hadn't been selected, God is STILL good!
This one makes me do the little happy dance in my seat. God has blessed me tremendously to be able to write for the two BIGGEST and most popular natural hair websites. The journey doesn't stop here, though. I love writing, and I love hair -- I will keep pressing until I'm able to do this full time!!!

4. I chopped a little hair recently...
Saturday happenings. #trim #healthyends #heatdamage #transitioner #naturalhair
And I *kinda* regret it. See, September is rolling around (which means straight hair time) and I would have loved to see how much length I retained since May. But unfortunately, I've been getting curl-antsy and clipping away at my ends on what seems like a biweekly basis. I know, way too much clippage. Oh well, worst case scenario -- my hair is a tad shorter than it was 3 months ago.
